Posted to Notes this AM re ‘is today your good day to die’ & truth be told.. was the early days of Whistler.. & was apres bein on the hill.. and too much Fun in the Chalet talkin & laughin.. this run, that run.. and we got into the ‘tellin tales’ - legendary shit.. Almost dyin high on the mountain.. but ‘blind luck’..
Hell did you catch that story of the snowboarder upside down buried glade riding ? Guy on skies with a shovel spotted some ‘odd colour’ - that kinda stuff..
So I collect such tales.. share em.. got a few of my own too.. ! They can happen anywhere.. but the two I know best are Whistler / Blackcomb & any fool knows.. don’t get stuck on ‘last chair @ Lake Louise’ when temperature dropping as fast as wind is whipping.. might die on that chair !
That’s what I was shooting for…the whole audience performance boost thing can be witnessed in all sorts of activities. I just happen to be skiing now and my daughter and I were kind of laughing about how we ski better under the lift.

This is great because it is interesting and relevant, even when the reader knows nothing about the skiing.
